After she sent her employees home as soon as Yulia’s Emporium had reached Rank 10, Yulia packed up all the fixtures and equipment she wanted to take with her, drove back home, and sold the store community lot.
Then she shut down her home sports venue.
The entire family spent the weekend packing up the house, and moved on Monday morning. Thanks to Yulia’s stellar selling efforts during the store’s last day of business, the family had a net worth of $319,113.
“Wow, Mom!” Yevgenya exclaimed, somewhat stunned. “Does that mean we’re going to live in a mansion?”
“No,” Yulia responded firmly, “we’re moving into a 3-bedroom, 3 and 1/2 bath house. But it’s bigger than our current house, and it has a pool.”
The new house cost $186,774.
“Gee, hon,” Derek teased. “Couldn’t you find a way to spend the extra $130,000 that we have left over?”
“Don’t worry,” Yulia said with a smirk. “Trust me—I’ve got a way to spend it.”
The family drove over to their new house,
which was impressive.
But the kids were mostly excited about the pool.
“Let’s go swimming!” Yedrek squealed.
“Not so fast, buddy,” his father said sternly. “Today’s a school day.” Because Derek had Mondays off from work, he had time to drive the kids to school. “And it’s already past 8 o’clock, so let’s shake a tailfeather, kids!” he admonished. His children reluctantly piled back into the car.
As soon as they left, Yulia went to the phone and started a home business, setting the price to “Ridiculously Cheap”, as usual,
then took Yasiu indoors and started unpacking.
When Derek came home from taking the kids to school, he thought to himself, ‘Well, THIS car certainly doesn’t fit in with the new house. Maybe Yulia will finally let us get a new one.’
While Yasiu played with his Charisma bunny in the grand but unfinished entrance hall
(“the potty in the entrance hall is a REALLY nice touch,” Derek had razzed his wife), Yulia walked out to her new home venue. She was pleased to see that there were a few customers already, including a child soaking in the hot springs, and she joined him.
Derek invited Sophie and Daisy over, and dove into the pool.
He got a game of Marco Polo going with his friends.
When Genya got home from school, she joined the game.
Later, while she was on the phone inviting her friend Marsha to come over, the new venue reached Rank 1.
Yulia cooled off in the pool while her twins played Marco Polo with their friend Orlando.
That evening, it was time for Yasiu to grow up.
Genya swam with Marsha and talked about school,
while her younger siblings all went to sleep in their new bedrooms.
Derek and Yulia eventually went to sleep,
as did Genya,
so the whole family had a good night’s sleep in their new house.
And, while they slept, the new home venue reached Rank 2.

NOTES FROM THE AUTHOR:
It took sooooo long to build this! I made a spirited (several-hour!) attempt at joining the 2-car garage to the house, carefully following the split-level tutorial instructions on the MTS2 site. Although I could recreate what the tutorial’s author had created, I was still unable to get my garage joined to my house without various windows being partially obstructed, etc.
The new house looks really lovely! Seems like a great way to run a business, :)
